Catamaran Retreats

Personal quiet time – Times at the beginning of the day and throughout will be dedicated to seeking God, meditating on His words and creating space for you to hear from Him.

 

Working together – Everyone will work together in the basics of managing a sailboat, learning how to sail, navigating and preparing meals.  Working together in new and different environments teaches us how to better interact with others – spouses, old friends and new, and gives us opportunity to learn new things from one another.

 

Recreation and exploring the surroundings - From swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, paddleboarding, exploring the local islands, or reading a book on one of the decks - you can choose the activities that best suit you.

 

Authentic conversations - Share, encourage and connect with others as God designed us to connect – at a heart level.  Much of our lives are spent portraying an image of who we want people to see.  We ask each other “How are you?” with the pat response “Great!”  Anything beyond this is “not safe”.  Being on a boat with a group of people – even new friends, for a week, sharing experiences – creates a unique opportunity to invite people to get to know who we really are, to hear people’s story, their joys and their challenges, to encourage each other.  God wired us to connect at a heart level, and you will walk away desiring more authentic relationships and conversations.
